Cruz Invitational 2026

March 22, 2026 5 min read Noah - Roadworks IRE

Sunday March 22nd marked the first Cruz invitational drift day, hosted in the Kartworld Adventure Park in Cork. It was the first of its kind for Cruz, known mainly for their cruises and photo/videography on social media. Gavin is the main man behind it all. I've known of Gavin for a couple of years, with him only being a couple of years older than me.

I've only ever made it to one cruise event and that was his 1 year anniversary spin last year. I couldn't miss this one. A few of my friends said they were going down to drive, Ralph in the S14 and Graeme in the Twincam, so we decided on making a weekend out of it.

Saturday we headed south and Sunday was the main event. We had some fun and the weather held off for majority of the day with the odd shower here and there. There was a good buzz around the place on Sunday morning as we signed in and attended briefing.

There were 5 separate groups for the cars on track, which seemed fair. It's not like you had a 600hp pro car on the door of a 160hp Twincam. It made track time for the all drivers that much better.

We had George Forrest in the booth all day keeping the music pumping out, with the Cruz tent next door to get your stickers, which I had to collect from Katie at KTG Prints, and some T shirts too.

The show side of the event was filled with a taste of the Irish car scene. From Glanza's too 700hp+ builds, billet RB28 PS13 and RB28 R32 GTR, EK9 Type R etc. Was very cool to see some of these builds in person.

Got to put some names to faces too, got to meet the incredibly talented Conor from Zero Team Media and Conor from CC Auto photos. Both lads were brilliant to talk too and shared stories and insights for the best places to get on track. Thank you lads, is much appreciated. Met the man powering this website, Conor Morey himself. Can't thank him enough for all the help with creating what you see and I'm still confused on how you have an e30 insured.

It was great to see so many road registered cars on track, from twincam's and Silvia's to laurels and JZX's. Something about an Irish reg on a car doing skids I think is deadly. Have to thank Gavin for allowing me to shoot media on the day too. Without that I wouldn't have gotten the photos you see here.

Thanks to Gavin and the team behind it all to create a rather special day, one to be remembered. Also would like to thank Killian for the use of the lift to attempt to do a clutch on a S14 the night before. That made for quite the entertaining Saturday night/Sunday morning.

As always, thanks to anyone who has read this far. Hope you enjoyed it. More of this hopefully coming soon. It's all just ahead of us // Noah
